I have been given the gift of healing. And I’ve even prayed for some people (and myself) to be healed, and on several occasions it has worked in a significant way. But I don’t do it very much. Rest – house of the lord

I am discovering “rest” is deeper than I’d imagined.
Such a simple thing, everyone knows how to rest.
But sometimes I don’t. Yet as I wait. As I walk more deeply. As I turn again and again into Love’s Graces to me, I discover how much I don’t know and live into.

Easter – House of the Lord – 4/7/12

In my efforts to “put on Christ”, to put on love, I have a practice of prayer I call “The House of the Lord”. As “Lectio Divina” is the practice of putting yourself in a reading of scripture, “The House of the Lord” is my practice of putting myself in scriptural images to get to know them by experience. I’ve walked this road a number of times, and I invite you to walk it as well, in your own way. Take your time. Be patient with yourself. May you indeed find Life. Continue reading
