Eagle’s Flight – rafting – too busy – 9/8/13

I’ve taken on one more responsibility – being on a jury. And I wonder if I can (successfully) walk through all the things I’m doing, all the things I’ve said “yes” to.

looking down stream
with warnings from those close to me
of too busy
I worry
or wonder
if I’ve gone too far

I sense a call into each thing I’m doing
some more than others
there is a draw that moves
me forward
in each

I don’t have time to be
other than myself
and it seems
to be a conscious decision
to trust that
will be enough

with grace
with prayer powering my days
with God’s strength being made complete
in my weakness
it just may be

About Clark W Johnson

I am a poet, interested in using poetry to explore my interactions with the spiritual. I find poetry captures tension, paradox and flow well enough so I can hold experiences at arms length and reflect on them from multiple vantage points. As I walk deeper with my God, I'm finding such a record invaluable for myself, and I find that pieces and parts touch others as well. I love and long for more points of contact along those lines.
