moving on through – 1/2/12

A good visit with family and friends in Seattle, has left me tired with a bit of a cold. I’ll recover. But I need to be patient with myself for the things I did, which I know are good, but make me tired. So today, I’ll rest, and be thankful.

tired
bouncing between
a few too many people
with so little
down time

and a cold
stuffing up
my head

wanting to
bring people closer
to me
God
themselves
one another
with love
binding us together
a growing collection
congregation
church
body
bride

so how to begin
the next steps
while sick
tired
forgetful
wondering
when I’ll
get up
and move on
again

About Clark W Johnson

I am a poet, interested in using poetry to explore my interactions with the spiritual. I find poetry captures tension, paradox and flow well enough so I can hold experiences at arms length and reflect on them from multiple vantage points. As I walk deeper with my God, I'm finding such a record invaluable for myself, and I find that pieces and parts touch others as well. I love and long for more points of contact along those lines.
