Hope builds – 8/21/12

I’m a rower, a poet, a software developer / tester / architect, a spiritual intercessor, a father, husband, friend, and probably a number of other things as well. And each part had its own development, generally starting with little more than a hope. As a good friend said to me some years ago, “you were so bad at basketball when you started in the third grade!”, but somehow I grew past that and learned to enjoy what I had no clue about when I started. being lost – 8/16/12

Getting lost happens from time to time. It’s not comfortable. it places me at one of the limits of my current abilities. And if I never feel lost, somehow I don’t think I’m trying hard enough, or traveling far enough from a comfortable home base. Continue reading

Faith grown – 8/11/12

Ha! I’m told I over think things sometimes. (I don’t think I over think usually, do I, really? 🙂 ) Even my Gallup Strengths (Strategic, Ideation, Learner, Data …. and oh yes, Competition) seem to lend credence to the idea. I find it interesting to think about the ways faith works and plays a part in most everyday activities, even (and perhaps especially) as I find my faith in the God of Love growing). Continue reading
