Love’s hope (2) – 7/19/12

Transitions, changing work assignments or jobs, changing pastors, changing most anything, is unsettling.  Questions arise around the change and how the new directions will work out and on these journey’s we never know, until we’ve walked them out, past our own expectations, and have learned to live into these our new experiences.
(or we can be like the Stanford Band, being very uniquely creative, just like they’ve done for the last 40 years 🙂

I’ve listened
I’ve been called
and I’m walking forwards
loving people
myself
towards the truth
in our next steps

each of us sees differently
yet touches the same
reality
filtered by experienced
loves
and wounds

much of our journeys
can be shared
with many
or a few

but sometimes
we feel so alone
walking a dim path
forward
we hope

About Clark W Johnson

I am a poet, interested in using poetry to explore my interactions with the spiritual. I find poetry captures tension, paradox and flow well enough so I can hold experiences at arms length and reflect on them from multiple vantage points. As I walk deeper with my God, I'm finding such a record invaluable for myself, and I find that pieces and parts touch others as well. I love and long for more points of contact along those lines.
